Test packing before shipment

Record the complete packaging system

Review the primary container, closure, applicator, inner tray, unit box, seal, label, leaflet, bundle, inner pack, and export carton where applicable. A change to one component can affect dimensions, weight, protection, minimum quantities, or printing.

For stock products, confirm the actual current package rather than relying on an older catalog image. For custom products, use approved artwork files and physical proofs where the project requires them.

Map required information panel by panel

Depending on the destination, required information may include product identity, intended use, net contents, ingredient list, warnings, directions, batch or lot coding, durability information, manufacturer details, responsible-party or importer details, country of origin, and local language.

The exact rules differ by market and product. Check current official requirements or qualified local regulatory advice before printing, applying import labels, or placing goods on sale.

Review claims as carefully as ingredients

Marketing claims, product names, before-and-after messages, symbols, and translations can change how a product is classified or assessed. Avoid adding performance, medical, organic, natural, cruelty-free, or certification claims without suitable support.

Translate meaning, warnings, and directions for the local customer rather than relying on a literal machine translation. Keep approved copy connected to the correct SKU and version.

Test the package for the route and channel

Compacts, glass, pumps, droppers, palettes, liquids, and decorated surfaces need different protection. Review leakage risk, abrasion, crushing, carton movement, temperature exposure, shelf display, e-commerce parcel handling, and label adhesion.

Agree on protective packing and carton evidence before shipment. Packaging that looks premium at the supplier can still fail if it is not prepared for the selected distribution route.

Buyer questions

What buyers usually ask

Can the original Chinese label be used in every overseas market?

Not necessarily. Destination markets can require local-language information, importer or responsible-party details, specific warnings, or product notification. Confirm current local requirements before sale.

When should custom packaging artwork be approved?

Approve artwork only after the product specification, package dieline, required market information, claims, barcode, language, printing method, and proofing process are confirmed.

Is this guide legal or regulatory advice?

No. It is a practical sourcing overview. Buyers should confirm current import, cosmetic, tax, and labeling obligations with official authorities or qualified advisers in the destination market.

Can Anmua help prepare a product shortlist?

Yes. Share your destination, sales channel, target price, categories, preferred brands, and estimated order volume for a focused sourcing discussion.

How do I request current commercial terms?

Contact Hana or Ivy for current product availability, minimum quantities, packaging information, and a B2B quotation.
