Normalize the quotation first

Convert prices to the same currency and unit basis. Confirm whether the quoted quantity is one piece, one inner pack, one carton, or another commercial unit.

Record what the price excludes

Note domestic China delivery, export packing, inspection scope, warehouse handling, consolidation, freight, insurance, destination charges, tax, and customs assumptions separately.

Compare risk and repeatability

A quotation is more useful when the product identity, validity, lead time, supply status, responsibility split, and reorder process are clear. Use notes for every unresolved assumption.

Buyer questions

What buyers usually ask

Is the lowest unit price always the best quotation?

No. Compare the same SKU, quantity basis, packaging, delivery scope, payment cost, timing, and risk before deciding.

Why record quotation validity?

Stock, exchange rates, supplier terms, packaging versions, and freight can change. A quotation should be tied to its issue date and validity period.

Should freight be mixed into the product price?

Keep product and logistics assumptions visible. This makes it easier to update the calculation when the route or order mix changes.
